We are pleased to announce that the Overseas Human Resources and Industry Development Association (HIDA) has been renamed as the Association for Overseas Technical Cooperation and Sustainable Partnerships (AOTS).Since the merger of two organizations 5 years ago, we have maintained our busi-ness under the acronym of HIDA. However, our old abbreviated name, the AOTS, had already become very famous for all these years since its establishment 58- years ago-.This owes much to the effort of the former training participants, who are active in various corners of the world, and of those in the domestic and foreign industries, who have made full use of our training to achieve outstanding results of human resource development. Hence, we have decided to change our English name to reect the recently expanding business lines, and the foundation for our future growth; while adopting the old but new abbreviation, the AOTS. Under our new abbreviated name, we will continue to play our roles in developing the industries both in Japan and abroad, by providing technical cooperation through human resource development and leveraging our network within and outside of Japan.We look forward to your continued support and guidance.
