This training marked the very rst HRD forum after the conclusion of the agreement between AOTS and IMC.This training was planned for better understanding of eco-conscious management and CSR as well as CSV (Creating Shared Value) required in today’s low carbon society where such commitments should lead to stronger competitiveness and better performance of businesses. The training targeted executives of medium-size and smaller companies that support further progress of Taiwan as participants.Many people in Taiwan are interested in Japan and eager to adopt the latest trends from there, and this training attracted the attention of the local media, reecting this high degree of interest. I started my duties as GM of New Delhi Ofce in July 2018. Spurred by robust economic growth, India has been attracting many Japanese corporations; particularly the manufacturing sector, led by automotive industry, is showing upward growth of business performance these days. On the other hand, the Indian economy is showing inherent problems such as how to obtain or train excellent personnel in many of its industries. Our ofce in New Delhi is happy to face those challenges concerning human resource development that local industries are facing today as a way to support those Japanese expatriate businesses in India as well as other industries, through our various mechanisms and activities.
