3No. 6 SPRING 2015The opening ceremony began with an address by Mr. Tadashi Okamura, Chairman of HIDA. The highlight of the opening ceremony was when Dr. Daishiro Yamagiwa, State Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry from METI, read out a congratulatory message on behalf of Prime Minister Abe. The attendees appeared to have been deeply impressed at the introduction to Prime Minister Abe’s personal involvement with HIDA/AOTS, as well as of his deep understanding of and encouragement for HIDA’s programs.
