HIDA JOURNAL10Reception, Theme Discussions and Closing General AssemblyAfter the Success Story Contest, the attendees changed venues to the Dai-ichi Hotel where a reception was held. It was attended by nearly 80 people, including people from the industrial arena, the bureaucracy, political circles, and the embassies of various countries stationed in Japan, all of whom we are indebted to from our day-to-day work. At the venue, presenters relieved of tension now that their Success Story Contests were over, and alumni society members chatted with attendees in a friendly manner, with the whole place crackling with excitement. What is more, on the second day of the World Convention of HIDA/AOTS Alumni Societies, theme discussions and a closing general assembly were held. Here we will offer an overview of the reception and the second day. Theme discussions were carried out on the second day of the World Convention of HIDA/AOTS Alumni Societies. The participants consisted of alumni society members and HIDA personnel, as well as the general public in Theme Discussion C. Each of the theme discussions held debates based on the shared theme of creating value from their own respective approaches. This served as an invaluable opportunity for HIDA and alumni society members to think about how both sides can cooperate and grow in the future by sharing their ideas. In terms of the outcomes of the theme discussions, these bore fruit in the form of resolutions, and will sequentially be put into effect on the basis of these resolutions moving forward.
