Interview with traineesInterview with traineesNo.3 AUTUMN 2013 7work made us realize once again that the specialized technical training in Japan greatly contributed to his growth. We have been told that you are employing new graduates of the Thai-Nichi Institute of Technology. Our two trainees are new graduates of the Thai-Nichi Institute of Technology and they are brilliant engineers. As part of our specialized technical training program, we provided three-dimensional CAD training and they made remarkable progress in acquiring CAD skills. The manager of the training section was totally amazed at the progress they made. Also, in addition to being earnest, they are honest and friendly to other people. Even on holidays, members of our company were taking the trainees out to different places to deepen their friendship with them.In fact, when establishing the Thai corporation, the Japanese company staff had no plan to employ new school graduates as local personnel. In order to get the company’s business on track, it is more practical to employ mid-career workers. Most importantly, employing new school graduates requires costs for education. However, the president of the Thai corporation, who was closely associated with the members of the Thai-Nichi Institute of Technology, was informed that the institute is focusing on training students to acquire practical and applied skills and knowledge directly linked to Japanese manufacturing and was recommended to employ graduates of the institute. The Thai corporation made a proposal for employing new school graduates and using HIDA’s training program in Japan for their education. Although our company was initially opposed to employing new school graduates, we eventually agreed to employ new graduates to fill two of the four positions for new employees, on the condition of using the training program in Japan. Thanks to HIDA’s training program in Japan and to the two brilliant new employees, our company members’ concern over the employment of new school graduates has been eliminated. Please tell us about your hope for the future. This year, as in last year, the Thai corporation employed two new employees and both of them were new university graduates. This August, the new employees started HIDA’s training program in Japan. We look forward to continuing to use the domestic training program in combination with the employment of new school graduates in order to implement our overseas human resource development plan.Thank you for your time for this interview.Interview with company representativesFrom right: Mr. Nagahama, Representative Director and Ms. KeimotoMs. Suchada Anurakdan and Mr. Santipap YodarlaiMs. Suchada Anurakdan and Mr. Santipap Yodarlai are visiting Japan on HIDA’s training program in Japan for the period from August 28, 2013 until March 30, 2014.
