We look forward to continued guidance and cooperation of our stakeholders.New Corporation Registration CompletedOutline of the Medium-term Management PlanThe outline of HIDA’s medium-term management plan was discussed at the third meeting of the Board of Directors and the first meeting of the Board of Trustees held on June 24, 2013. Since the medium-term plan for the period from FY2010 to FY2012 was prepared by AOTS before the merger, this is the fi rst medium-term plan drawn up by HIDA. In the outline for the medium-term management plan, we established medium-term management goals for the three-year period from FY2013 to FY2015, along with priority strategic targets set for the achievement of the medium-term goals. With a view to achieving HIDA’s ideal of serving as a global center of excellence for human resource development (human resource development center highly recognized by people around the world that serves as a hub for industrial personnel exchanges), we will make maximum use of the public trust and tangible and intangible assets that we have acquired over the years in order to expand our project areas and to enhance our competitiveness. As a result of the ongoing globalization of economies, it becomes more important than ever to build mutually benefi cial economic relationships and promote friendships with other nations, including developing countries. True to HIDA’s unique pioneering spirit, we will further promote a variety of technical cooperation projects that meet societal needs, while at the same time creating new projects by using the human network that we have developed over the years. We will draw up a detailed medium-term management plan based on the outline for the plan under the new administrative organization of members appointed at the third meeting of the Board of Directors. 2.
