JOURNAL16AOTS in Motion: August – December 2017August　•August 2: President of AOTS attended an International Forum to Commemorate the 10th Anniversary of the Thai-Nichi Institute of Technology (TNI).•August 9: AOTS concluded a ‘business alliance’ agreement to support the overseas business development of small and medium-sized enterprises in Kobe City. October　• October 20: AOTS concluded an MOU on business collaboration and cooperation with Ehime Bank, Ltd.November　•November 3: AOTS concluded an MOU on tri-party cooperation with Centro de Competitividad de México (CCMX) and Mexico City Alumni Society.•November 4: AOTS concluded an MOU with IMC. (See page 10.)•November 10: AOTS held a ceremony to appoint Monodzukuri Jinzai Ambassador for Vietnam.•November 24: AOTS concluded an MOU on business collaboration and cooperation with 77 Bank, Ltd.The signing ceremony was held in the presence of Mr. Yasushi Takase, Ambassador of Japan to Mexico, and the parties concerned agreed to work harder toward more collaboration in recruiting trainees to train in Japan as well as more business promotion.The appointment ceremony was held in the presence of Mr. Hiroshige Seko, Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry, and Mr. Pham Ngoc Tuan, Chairman of AOTS Vietnam Alumni Society (AVAS)/President of Institute of Management and Technology promotion (IMT), was ofcially appointed the Ambassador. Mr. Pham Ngoc Tuan garnered the honor as has been working hard for the industrial development of Vietnam as well as friendship promotion between Japan and Vietnam for many years.AOTS and TNIThe Thai-Nichi Institute of Technology (TNI) is Thailand’s ‘Japanese-style Monodzukuri University’ and is dedicated to pragmatic education. It was inaugurated in June 2007 with the supervision of former AOTS trainees and exchange students to Japan.
