13No. 12 SPRING 2018AOTS Alumni Societies are found in 71 regions in 43 countriesParenthesized numbers indicate the number of alumni societies within the countrySouth Asian Federation of AOTS Alumni Societies (SAFAAS)From October 27 to 28, 2017, the twelfth SAFAAS meeting was held in Colombo, Sri Lanka, with 12 societies from ve countries, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh (Dhaka and Chittagong), India (Mumbai, Hyderabad, Kerala, Pune, Bangalore and Chennai), Nepal and Pakistan (Lahore), and 170 people in attendance. For this meeting, they chose the subject of ‘how to cultivate inuential business leaders with the support of AOTS’ and discussed this in working groups. The meeting adopted such measures as the launching of an excellent cases presentation, identication of training needs within the region by a joint study with AOTS and others as resolutions and decided Chennai, India, would be the host of the next meeting. At a dinner party on October 27, they had the honor to have the personal presence of Mr. Eran Wickramaratne, State Minister of Finance. As for the closing ceremony on October 28, Dr. Harsha de Silva, Deputy Minister of National Policies and Economic Affairs presented as a guest of honor.
