grateful to HIDA for this invaluable initiative as I have no doubt that this magnanimous gesture will continue to be popular among ex EPCM participants. It will achieve its objectives in sharpening our management capabilities when we share our management knowledge and experiences among our ex- EPCM colleagues. Other objectives of dissemination of collective management wisdom of ex-participants as case studies for the future generations and promotion of global business exchanges among us through Global Interface Japan of the HIDA Research Institute, I consider as most timely and well forecasted. Therefore, I request every ex-EPCM participant to be quick in joining this web based club It is a laudable gesture that Professor Yahagi’s willingness to voluntarily moderate this virtual learning space by giving his comments and advice.Looking at this great leap forward from the perspective of as an ex-EPCM participant I wish to congratulate Mr Kazuo Kaneko, President of HIDA and his team for setting up of the HIDA Research Institute. To achieve HIDA’S mission of ‘Co-Existing and Growing Together”, the newly created Global Interface Japan will no doubt bring remarkable benefits. Linkage of HIDA Research Institute and HIDA Alumni Societies will soon begin to contribute positively in achieving this mission. Looking at this initiative from an entrepreneur’s point of view I believe that this is an absolute need in today’s context. Countries with several traditional investment bases for Japanese Entrepreneurs and Investors becoming higher in costs, I am confident that the dissemination of information through Global Interface Japan will open up new vistas for several new countries. HIDA’s identification of 65,000 member strong alumni network thorough the alumni societies scattered globally, no doubt can spur many trade and investment relationships between Japan and other countries. In this quest it is natural that there is going to be some challenges such as cultural and language barriers. The role play of HIDA to eliminate such barriers is extremely praiseworthy. In conclusion I would like to say that participating at EPCM programme was indeed a life changing experience for me. I sincerely owe a debt of gratitude to the wonderful people of Japan, to whom I have my highest respect, for their generosity in giving me this opportunity and making me what I am today.No.4 SPRING 2014 13Products of Fresh & Best
