In celebration of its 30th anniversary in 2003, TPA came to a decision to establish a university designed to cultivate outstanding industrial leaders and to provide human resources to Thai industries. To that end, TPA made eff ective use of expert networks inside and outside TPA based on its experience and achievements in a wide range of training projects for industries. In addition, we sent 30 Japanese students to 27 organizations in 7 countries (China, the Philippines, Vietnam, etc.) for two to three weeks on a short-term dispatch program. This fi scal year, we plan to send approximately 150 young Japanese working adults to developing countries, such as Bangladesh, India, Indonesia, Myanmar, Turkey and Vietnam. We ask for the cooperation of many of the organizations hosting interns from practical and applied skills and knowledge closely linked to Japanese manufacturing, with a focus on industrial areas with large demand in Thailand (in particular, automobile, electric and electronic industries). The university also trains students to acquire communication skills in Japanese and English, while focusing on on-site internship training supported by its cooperative relationships with companies and various Japanese organizations inside and outside Thailand.Address:1771/1, Pattanakarn Rd, Suan Luang, Bangkok, 10250, THAILANDTel: 02-763-2600 (Main line); Fax: 02-763-2754URL: http://www.tni.ac.thLocated approximately 25 km east of downtown Bangkok and approximately 10 km west (toward downtown) of Suvarnabhumi International AirportJapan through the HIDA-AOTS alumni societies network that HIDA has developed over the years.CountryThailandVietnamIndonesiaUniversities with a Japanese corporate culture courseThai-Nichi Institute of Technology, King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi, King Mongkut’s University of Technology Lat Krabang, Chiang Mai University, Burapha University, Khon Kaen University, Ubon Rajathanee University, Rajamangala University of Technology Suvarnabhumi, Kasetsart UniversityHo Chi Minh City University of Foreign Languages-Information Technology, Hong Bang University International, Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Lac Hong UniversityDarma Persada University, Jakarta State Polytechnic, Institut Teknologi Bandung, Padjadjaran UniversityInformation to support Japanese SMEs branching out overseasin securing outstanding local personnelHIDA initiatives for providing matching opportunitiesfor Japanese SMEs branching out overseas and local university studentsOrientation at a hosting organization in BangladeshOpening ceremony for preliminary training at HIDA’s Tokyo Kenshu CenterMETI Global Internship Program—Support for the cultivation of Japanese individuals with a global perspective——Support for the cultivation of Japanese individuals with a global perspective—HIDA provides Japanese corporate culture courses (lectures, company visits, etc.) at universities in Thailand, Vietnam and Indonesia in order to provide students with a deep understanding of the Japanese corporate culture as well as to increase their motivation for working for Japanese SMEs.In parallel with these courses, we also plan to hold job fairs around January or February next year in cooperation with local universities to provide a matching opportunity for Japanese SMEs branching out overseas and local university students.
